On may, 29th, LUMAS came to us bringing with him so many new things to experience: with almost no one around--- except his little big brother Singa, his Papa to catch him, Davi, our dear midwife and Ron to take photos--- our birth could have not been more amazing and quick. We almost didn’t have enough time to fill the pool with warm water!
We decided to have a lotus birth, which was very special. Most people leave the placenta on until the cord falls off by itself, but after 33 hours we decided to cut the cord since it was all dry and we couldn’t wait to hold and to cuddle with our little angel without the placenta attached.
As you can see on the picture, Lumas proofed to us all that even 4 day old babies can pee and poop in a bucket… his first poop looked like a flower 8) Now he often fusses to tell me that he has to go--- Peeing and pooping couldn’t be more fun, believe me!
Lumas gave me the inspiration to create a baby carrier for newborns (the Sanni Wrap) while we were all alone at The Circle. Singa and Manni already left to Germany so we had 3 very special weeks for Baby and Mama to bond. I can't say enough how important these first 40 days are to just stay home as much as possible and to get to know each other...
And this is only the beginning… STAY TUNED FOR MORE!!!
